30 yellow pallet boxes planted with green shrubs create a feel-good atmosphere on the campus of Berlin’s University of Applied Sciences (HTW). They are part of the Tiny Forest Project of the ”House of Transformation HTW Berlin” (HdT), a dialogue centre for all sustainability initiatives and campaigns at the university.

Craemer is supporting the implementation of the Tiny Forest Project, which was launched in April 2023, by supplying the pallet boxes at a reduced price, while tree sponsors have contributed fruit trees and other plants. International students from the European Industrial Heritage Summer School (ERIH) planted the green saplings in the CB1 boxes. In a workshop, they created permanent micro-ecosystems and integrated our pallet boxes into the sustainable project in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At Craemer, we are delighted to have contributed to the creation of a green oasis that has a positive impact on studying at the Wilhelminenhof campus and that provides sustainable ecological added value for the entire neighbourhood.

Why our CB1 for the Tiny Forest Project?

  • They are robust and correspond to the HdT concept of repurposing
  • They are mobile and can be easily moved with a pallet truck
  •  They are reusable and recyclable and do not end up as plastic waste in the ocean
