Craemer Focuses on the Swedish Waste Bin Market

Collection of twin compartment bin

The Craemer waste bin product portfolio includes two-compartment bins with a saloon lid and partition wall and allows two different waste fractions to be presented for collection in separate compartments in a single container.

“Right now, we have a strong focus on the Swedish market when it comes to waste containers, as many companies are in great need of an environmentally friendly way to dispose of their waste. The goal is to meet the future and EU requirements for all different fractions to be sorted separately, a directive that will come into force on 1 January 2027. This will require a high number of waste containers and an additional supplier on the market,” says Henrik Mogensen, Sales Manager for the Swedish market at Craemer Nordic. “The first tender we won in Sweden was for as many as 70,000 containers. The market is showing a great interest in our products.”

Germany-based Craemer Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sustainable logistics and waste management solutions with over 60 years of experience in plastics processing. Since the 1980s, the Group has been manufacturing wheeled waste bins and has also been selling them to Denmark for many years. Through Craemer Nordic ApS, founded in 2022 in Sorø, Denmark, the company now wants to offer their high-quality waste containers to the Swedish market as well. The product portfolio includes 240 litre and 360 litre twin-compartment bins with saloon lid and divider wall. This tried and tested system was developed for the Danish market and allows two different waste fractions to be presented for collection in separate compartments within a single bin.

Largely made from recycled plastic

The bin bodies, lids and dividers are largely made from recycled plastic at the Group’s state-of-the-art injection moulding facility in the UK or at their German headquarters. Craemer waste containers meet high standards of functionality, ergonomics and durability and are available in various sizes from 60 litres to 1,100 litres, and in a variety of colours and styles. The containers are also available with colour clips, which are popular in Sweden and Denmark, but also with more traditional marking such as embossing and stickers.

“In Denmark, our side-hinged lids are very popular, and we believe this will also be the case in Sweden.  At Craemer, we offer a comprehensive range of high-quality containers for safe and reliable waste management. We will showcase them around Sweden at various trade fairs that we plan to attend, and of course also through personal visits”, says Henrik Mogensen.

Already booked fairs are: Norrlandsträffen in Lycksele in September and there are also plans to participate in Dalaträffen in October and Avfallssverige's autumn meeting in November.
